I posted a few days ago about the relative value of talent and practice. Having talent is a blessing, but it is just the starting point to succeed in life. The question that is far, far more interesting is how you use that talent., The journey is the reward.
That takes me to Nerlens Loel, an NBA player for the Sixers. Noel has a ton of talent. He is physically amazing. But he suffered an ACL tear in college and was out for a year. As a rookie last year, Nerlens played well — amazingly well on defense. But his offensive production was limited.
Here is what he is doing about that. It is a story worth tracking.
