Co-Working and Community

Steve Johnson is right. Great ideas emerge from social exchanges. Why do I think so? Consider what happens in “co-working spaces”. People are more productive, find more meaning in what they do and are happier. Why? HBR goes through the reasons.

But this is the key. Co-wokring spaces help to  build a community around what they are doing.   This is no t the only way to build a community around what people do. But it is one way. More important, as a starting point, is to begin to see how important community building actually is – for business and all of the activities that are related to business (value creating).
