Practice Regime: Practicing Taking Control

One of the more pernicious effects of modern life is  how easy it is to get distracted. In the old days, media was not so developed. Nor were there so many gadgets and toys for the house and places to visit. It was easier to focus.

Well, those days are long gone. And the future promises more — not less — distraction. Not just more of it, but more intensely attractive as well. It will be difficult to maintain control.

For that reason, I have been thinking about routines that build control. One is my morning story telling. I do my morning walk, have coffee, and then stand in front of an audience to tell them my story for the day. I will be building on this, but it is a good start.
