to produce or to create

Something is “generative” when it makes production or creation possible. When it opens the door to possibilities. This quote goes a step further

Generative practices make new opportunities possible, but not inevitable. We don’t know and can’t predict specifically what a generative behavior will trigger. We can only expect these practices to create openings and invite new outcomes to emerge.

So here is the question — how good are you at creating opportunities for yourself and others? How generative are you? Strategic thinking makes you better at that. It is why we need to get better at it.
